Challenge the limits of reality

Immerse yourself in the action-packed world of Atlas Fallen, where the barriers between reality and fantasy fade away before your eyes. Discover a deep narrative, perception-defying graphics, and engaging gameplay mechanics that will challenge your skill and dexterity. Developed by Deck13, this premium open-world title will plunge you into a sandy world filled with ancient mysteries and disturbing dangers.

Create a custom character and comb through the sandy universe of Atlas Fallen to hunt down monsters. You can go on an adventure alone or with a companion through co-op gameplay. However, while its storyline is ultimately promising, the execution falls short at times.

Everything but a linear or conventional game

Atlas Fallen stands out for its unique blend of intuitive controls and mechanics that challenge traditional gameplay. Players will navigate through the universe’s four distinct zones, each with its own treasures and adversaries. The gameplay cycle keeps the player constantly on edge, balancing intense combat and amazing scenery. As mentioned, it is also fully playable in teams of two, allowing you and a buddy to explore worlds together or split up accordingly.

It doesn’t support couch co-op or cross-platform gameplay, however. Although, thanks to its non-linear nature, players can prioritize side quests instead of the main story quests at their own pace. New skills or mechanics get unlocked every once in a while and when you complete certain objectives, making for an interesting gameplay experience overall. Weapons are made of sand and your weapon of choice will directly affect your avatar’s animated movements.

The visual design is also undoubtedly one of the game’s strengths. With a style that feels like it’s taken from a canvas, the landscapes are stunning and immersive, while the animations are very fluid. However, the lip-syncing is mismatched at times and can be jarring, and the main characters seem to lack any colorful personality. Furthermore, the soundscape is meticulously designed. The music, filled with mystery and emotion, perfectly accompanies the game’s progression.

Explore a sandy universe

Overall, Atlas Fallen is a great title packed with decent storytelling and marvelous design. The gameplay, both solo and co-op modes, is rewarding, and the graphics and audio create an immersive experience. The story is captivating, and the world is filled with details that invite exploration. While there is no cross-platform compatibility nor couch co-op mode, it is still a valuable addition to any player’s library.
